Nine Network Australia underwent a full floor refurbishment of their Gold Coast Bureau site. With the project including new core business areas such as edit booths, a voice-over booth and broadcasting studio, a specialist methodology was required. The works also included new office areas, support spaces and breakout facilities.

The project had a number of unique challenges. Channel Nine needed to maintain ‘business as usual’ operations during the entire project, and so staged construction and creation of a swing space was implemented.

This live environment also included an operational broadcasting studio during construction, so acoustics were of particular importance in the management plan. As well as managing the reconfiguration of the main communications and equipment room, which remained operational through the demolition and construction phases of the project.
