The new Datacom offices are in the premium site of 2 Melbourne Quarter and deliver cutting-edge facilities to their staff. Renascent worked closely with Datacom and the wider team to deliver on this technically complex workplace.

Fitout works for the project included installation of innovative communications systems, along with the integration of a mechanical system into a tight ceiling void. The project also featured intricate bespoke joinery throughout, installation of luxurious workstations, creation of several breakout areas and meeting rooms, and an expansive kitchen with views over the Yarra River to Docklands.

Due to COVID restrictions, this project was delivered working with a consulting team based in Sydney, with virtual meetings, including walkthroughs playing a key role.

In partnership, the Melbourne team were able to offer many cost-saving initiatives and remained flexible and adaptive as the architectural plans changed before kick-off due to COVID. The detailed and intricate works also needed to adhere to the base build integrity and Green Star energy rating, which required constant coordination with the base building consulting team.
