On 5 June 2026, our team came together once again to brave the ice bath, share a few laughs and raise vital funds for motor neurone disease (MND) research and care.
Now in its fourth year, Renascent's Big Freeze has become a much-loved team tradition, bringing our people together to make a meaningful difference beyond the projects we deliver.
This year's event carried particular significance following the passing of FightMND co-founder and Australian sporting legend Neale Daniher.
Neale's courage, determination and unmistakable sense of humour transformed the national conversation around MND. Through his tireless advocacy, he inspired Australians to get behind the cause, raising extraordinary awareness and funding for research into a disease that currently has no cure.
His legacy was front of mind as our team took the plunge, continuing to support a cause he championed so passionately.
From creative costumes to some understandably hesitant participants, the day delivered plenty of entertainment, all in the name of a serious cause.
We were also delighted to welcome Laura Corbett from FightMND, who joined us to speak about the organisation's important work before stepping into the ice bath herself.
Thanks to the generosity of our team and supporters, we raised more than $3,500 to support FightMND's ongoing investment in research, treatments and care for Australians living with MND.
The event also caught the attention of Bunnings Trade, who featured our Big Freeze initiative, helping bring further awareness to the cause.
At Renascent, we believe making a real impact extends beyond construction. It's about bringing people together, supporting our communities and getting behind causes that matter.
Four years of Big Freeze events have shown just how much can be achieved when our people rally around a shared purpose.
A huge thank you to everyone who donated, participated, cheered from the sidelines or helped make the event possible.
