Renascent was engaged by Melbourne Health to complete the fitout for Royal Melbourne’s newest dialysis unit in Victoria, overlooking the Essendon Airport Complex. The fitout was completed on Level 2 of the heritage listed building, which had been recently converted from an aeroplane hangar into modern offices.
The scope of works included new consulting rooms, a Reverse Osmosis workshop with backbone infrastructure, staff office and resource spaces, clean and dirty utility rooms, administration office and waiting room, ambulant toilet facilities, and a new multilevel fire stair. The focus of the space was the 15 seat open dialysis unit overlooking the Essendon Fields runway. The specialist services include nurse call services, security and intercom services and the installation of custom joinery and locker system for patients requirements.
Melbourne Health Community Dialysis Unit works was completed on time, in a mere 9 weeks. An excellent quality project, particularly with the staircase installation which was undertaken whilst the Level 1 tenants remained in occupation.
